A new medical centre incorporating a pharmacy adjacent located in Echuca on the Murray River, 180km north from Melbourne. The site is within the retail centre of the town with a busy road frontage and public car park to the ‘rear’ west which provides the main entry to the medical centre.  The pharmacy addresses both frontages and provides an active edge to a public walkway adjacent for pedestrian access. The consulting rooms to the medical centre are clustered into three distinct areas separated by internal courtyards. These provide natural light, ventilation and outlook for the main patient waiting areas and consulting suites alike. A generous treatment room, staff facilities with administration complete the program requirements. A translucent canopy and parapet which is illuminated for an enhanced retail presence addresses both street and car park.
